2017 Honda City Facelift Receives Tremendous Bookings
The bookings for the new Honda City started from February 3, 2017, with an amount of Rs 21,000. The 2017 Honda City launched on February 14, 2017, with a price tag of Rs 849,990 ex-showroom (Delhi).
The fourth-generation Honda City 2017 launched on February 14, 2017, has crossed 5,000 bookings within 12 days. Of the 5,000, 70 percent has been for the petrol variant of the new City.
Honda started bookings of the new City facelift from February 3, 2017, with an amount of Rs 21,000. The executive sedan launched with starting price of Rs 849,990 ex-showroom (Delhi).
The new City facelift will be available in five variants. The petrol manual gearbox model will be available in S, SV, V and VX variants.
The petrol CVT automatic gearbox model will be available in V, VX and top-of-the-line ZX variants. The diesel model is available in manual gearbox will be available in SV, V, VX and ZX variants.
Honda is offering the new City in five exterior colours -- Modern Steel Metallic (new), White Orchid Pearl, Carnelian Red Pearl, Alabaster Silver Metallic and Golden Brown Metallic.
The powertrains for the new Honda City include diesel unit of 1.5-litre i-DTEC engine churning out 99bhp and 200Nm of torque. The petrol model of the City powered by the 1.5-litre i-VTEC engine produces 117bhp and 145Nm of torque.
The new City will compete with Maruti Suzuki Ciaz which has been ruling the segment in 2016. Honda will look to disrupt this trend and woo its customers back to the City. The other rivals include Skoda Rapid and Volkswagen Vento.
