Honda CB Shine Hits An Impressive Milestone — Creates A Record
Honda rolled out the 50th lakh CB Shine from its Tapukara plant in Rajasthan and creates a world record of the highest-selling 125cc motorcycle in the world.
Honda Motorcycle & Scooters India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI) has all the reasons to celebrate as it rolled out its 50th lakh CB Shine from its Tapukara plant in Rajasthan. To commemorate the occasion, the company launched the all-new 2017 BS IV CB Shine with Automatic Headlamp On (AHO).
With the 50th lakh unit being produced by HMSI, the CB Shine has created a record as the highest selling 125cc motorcycle in the world. The CB Shine was launched in India back in April 2006 and has been impressive in its sales for the Japanese company.
CB Shine became the country's single largest selling 125cc motorcycle by thefinancial year 2008-09, two years since its launch.
Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Y.S. Guleria, Senior Vice President - Sales & Marketing, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India said, "We are delighted with the overwhelming customer response, making CB Shine the most loved motorcycle in the 125cc segment. With a great legacy of over one decade, Shine is the most important motorcycle in our line up. Together with it's special sibling CB Shine SP, CB Shine continues to be the top choice of 125cc motorcycle customers."
The Honda CB Shine achieved its first 10 lakh customers in October 2010, that is within 54 months of its launch. The next 10 lakh unit came in four years in 2014 with the final 20 lakhs coming in January 2017.
Expressing his gratitude towards Honda customers, Mr. Y.S. Guleria, Senior Vice President - Sales & Marketing, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India said, "We are delighted with the overwhelming customer response, making CB Shine the most loved motorcycle in the 125cc segment.

The new 2017 Honda CB Shine is powered by a 124.73cc air-cooled single cylinder engine producing 10.16bhp and 10.30Nm of torque.
Also, the new CB Shine boasts of a premium chrome finish muffler and carburettor cover, and Honda is offering new colours such as Athletic Blue Metallic and Imperial Red Metallic colours.
