Over 8,000 F1 Helmet Designs To Choose From — Hamilton Has A Tough Task Ahead
Hamilton has received over 8000 f1 helmet designs after posting a competition on Instagram, and now it's time to choose one.
Two weeks ago, Lewis Hamilton asked his fans to design a new helmet on Instagram, hosting a competition, asking his followers to design a new helmet colour and he would pick the winner.
The design competition brief read: "On the lookout for a dope new layout that evolves my current theme and features the candy apple red in my existing design."
The winner would get a chance to meet Lewis Hamilton on the F1 circuit this season and will get to take home a full size replica of the design. Following his competition, Hamilton has received over 8,000 designs and is now in a process of choosing one.
The current F1 rule states that drivers must stick to one helmet design through the entire season, which helps fans recognise the driver, but are allowed one special design per year.
The winning helmet design is expected to be seen at Silverstone, on February 23, during the Mercedes F1 team launch before the opening pre-season test in Spain.
If Formula One does not interest you much, perhaps MotoGP does, and pictured below is the Ducati Desmosedici GP motorcycle.
