The Gemballa Avalanche Is A 911 Turbo Gone Mad
The Gemballa 911 is built around the 991 Turbo with a 540 horsepower flat-six that is capable of doing 0 to 60mph (96km/h) in just 2.9 seconds.
For some motoring enthusiast, the power generated from Porsche 911 Turbo's flat-six is not enough. Now, German tuning company Gemballa has introduced 'Avalanche', which adds almost 300 more ponies than you get from a standard 911 Turbo. The Gemballa's 911 will be revealed at the next month's Geneva show.
The Gemballa 911 is built around the 991 Turbo with a 540 horsepower flat-six that is capable of doing 0 to 60mph (96km/h) in just 2.9 seconds with the optional Chrono Package (0-100km/h in 3.0 seconds).
The company claims that it has taken the 911 Turbo's 3.8-liter unit to a whole different level and tweaked it to provide an output of +809bhp and more than 948Nm of torque.
Gembala explains, "The Gemballa Avalanche is an indefinable creation of engine sounds, power and acceleration to blast you across the horizon."
The tweaked model will feature plum crazy-esque purple paint job. It also has a massive rear wing, carbon fibre spoilers, a hood scoop, modified rear and the firm's signature rims.
The Avalanche is named after Gemballa's original 1984 Porsche 911 Turbo with 385bhp. Another sibling will join the model at the Geneva Show floor. Steffen Korbach, Gemballa Boss, said, "We will be presenting two supercars in Geneva. The Gemballa Avalanche and Gemballa GTR 780 Evo-R, which both set new standards in performance and style."
