Ford Flying High In February; Registers Massive Growth In Sales
Sales of Ford cars in India along with exports from the country by the American manufacturer increased last month.
Ford India reported a 38.83 percent jump in year-over-year sales numbers in February 2017 over the same month in previous year.
Ford sold 24,026 vehicles in India in February 2017 compared to 17,306 vehicles in the corresponding month last year with domestic sales rising by 52 percent and exports rising by 32.69 percent.
Ford sold 8,338 vehicles in India alone last month compared with 5,483 units in the same period a year ago. Regarding exports, Ford shipped out 15,688 units in Feb 2017 compared to 11,823 units in the same month last year.
Commenting on the company's sales growth, Ford India Executive Director, Marketing, Sales and Service Anurag Mehrotra said, "Ford continues to grow faster than the industry, which bears testimony to our three-pronged strategy of product-led transformation, busting the myth of cost of service and enhancing dealership experience."
