Ford GT Specifications Revealed — The Much-Awaited Details
The Ford GT’s engine specifications have been revealed, making it the most powerful V6 ecoboost engine on a road legal Ford.
The Ford GT is no doubt a car that has caught the attention of many enthusiasts around the world, and finally, the specification details are out, making the car even more desirable.
To start with, the Ford GT comes with a twin-turbocharged V6 engine, that makes 647bhp at 6250rpm and 745Nm of torque at 5900rpm. The Ford GT is estimated to have a top speed of 216mph (347km/h).
Although the 0 to 100km/h time is unknown at the moment, the specification figures are enough to credit the ecoboost V6 engine as the most powerful V6 ecoboost engine on a road legal Ford.
Also, Ford tested three cars - Ferrari 458 Speciale, McLaren 675LT, and the Ford GT itself - at the Calabogie Motorsports Park in Canada, where the GT set the quickest lap. All three cars were driven by the same driver too, and the cars clocked the circuit in 2:12.9 (Ferrari), 2:10.8 (McLaren), and 2:09.8 (Ford).
If the figures don't convince you, the photos of the Ford GT will do the trick. Take a look at the images below.
