Ford Figo And Aspire Sports Edition Launched In India; Prices Start At Rs 6.31 Lakh
Ford Figo Sports Edition Petrol priced at Rs 6.31 lakh & the diesel is priced at Rs 7.21 lakh. The Ford Aspire Sports Edition Petrol priced at Rs 6.50 lakh and the diesel model at Rs 7.60 lakh.
Ford Figo and Aspire Sports Edition Launched in India. The new Figo and Aspire are the Sports Edition of the hatchback and the compact sedan respectively from the American automaker.
While the Ford Figo Sports Edition is priced at Rs 6.31 lakh for the petrol variant, the diesel model is priced at Rs 7.21 lakh. The Ford Aspire Sports Edition has been launched at Rs. 6.50 lakh for the petrol model and Rs. 7.60 lakh for the diesel variant. All prices are ex-showroom (Delhi).
Powering the Ford Figo and Aspire Sports Edition is the same 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine. The 1.2-litre petrol is capable of churning out a maximum of 87bhp with a peak torque of 113Nm, while the diesel mill develops 99bhp with a peak torque of 215Nm. Both the powertrains come paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard.
The company also offers a more powerful 1.5-litre petrol engine that produces 110bhp mated to an automatic Dual Clutch Transmission (Gearbox); however, that engine is not available on the new Sports Edition Figo and Aspire. Also, Ford claims that they have tuned the suspension for better ride quality.
Both the cars come with small but prominent cosmetic updates that befit the Sports Edition tag. Up front, both the Figo and the Aspire look similar and receive the same black fishnet grille and smoked swept back headlamps.
The front bumper is all-new and muscular with its sculpted lines. The round foglamps have been placed in the black plastic cladding.

The cars also receive black treatment all over such as the new sporty and wider 15-inch black alloy wheels; glossy black outside rear view mirrors (ORVMs) with integrated turn signal lights and a blackened roof.

Compared to the standard model, the car's also come with sporty side decals that complementing with 'S' lettering to imply the 'Sports Edition' model.

The Figo hatchback sports a large roof-mounted spoiler and some decals on the rear bumper. The rear end of the Ford Aspire; however, remains the same as the regular model.

On the inside, both the cars are more or less the same with the interiors complimenting the sporty character of the exterior. The models come with an all-black cabin built with premium quality materials. The Ford Figo's upholstery comes with red stitching, while the Aspire receives fog grey stitching. The steering wheel is now leather wrapped, while the rest of the features remain unchanged.
