Ford Endeavour Updated With Sync 3 Infotainment System — Find Out What’s New
Ford SYNC 3 comes with voice activated controls for access to apps, new 8-inch touchscreen and will be available in the Titanium variant of the Endeavour.
Ford India has updated its new Endeavour SUV with the all-new SYNC 3 infotainment system and will be available in the Titanium variant. Upgrading from the SYNC 2 technology, the new SYNC 3 comes with voice-activated in-car technology and host of other features.
The company is offering the SYNC 3 technology on the Titanium variant of the Endeavour with prices starting at Rs 27.93 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi). The new SYNC 3 is easier and faster to use with enhanced response to voice commands.
Also, the SYNC 3 features an 8-inch touchscreen unit providing access features such as Emergency Assistance which automatically calls emergency services from a paired phone in the event of a collision when airbags are deployed.
The latest version also supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and it adds seamless integration of AppLink for easier control of smartphone apps, Siri Eyes-Free capability for iPhones and software updates through WiFi.
Among other features on the SYNC 3 is the smartphone voice-activated technology to control smartphones for optimum hands-free usage.
The touchscreen display comes with gestures like pinch-to-zoom and swipe just like the experience of a smartphone usage.
Ford India launched the Endeavour in 2016 and offered features and technologies, unlike its rivals. The Endeavour from Ford comes with the option of two types of powertrains: 2.2-litre TDCi and 3.2-litre TDCi diesel units.
While the 2.2-litre diesel unit is paired either with the 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox, the 3.2-litre unit comes mated to the 6-speed automatic gearbox.
The Titanium variant of the Ford Endeavour though comes mated only with the 6-speed automatic gearbox.
