Ford Launches EcoSport Platinum Edition Priced At Rs 10.39 Lakh
Ford India has launched the EcoSport Platinum Edition with new features and minor cosmetic upgrades. Price starts at Rs 10.39 lakh ex-showroom Delhi.
Ford India has launched the Platinum Edition of its compact SUV, the EcoSport packed with some new features and minor cosmetic upgrades.
Although this is not the facelifted EcoSport which was revealed in Brazil last year. This is the currently sold model in India but gets a black roof and redesigned alloy wheels. The Platinum Edition also gets bigger 17-inch wheels and wider tyres.
The interior of the Platinum Edition EcoSport gets few additional features such as 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system and cruise control. The infotainment system offers satellite navigation, audio and video playback and the display is paired with rear view camera.
The EcoSport Platinum Edition is offered in both petrol and diesel variants but only with manual transmission. The petrol version is powered by a 1-litre Ecoboost engine producing 124bhp and the diesel variant is powered by a 1.5-litre TDCi engine churning out 99bhp.
The existing Ford EcoSport customers were wishing for a touchscreen infotainment system and cruise control for long highway journeys and the automaker has delivered the same for the potential buyers.
The Platinum Edition also adds a unique look over the standard variant of the compact SUV. The Platinum Edition is priced at Rs 10.39 lakh for the petrol variant and Rs 10.69 lakh for diesel trim. (both prices ex-showroom Delhi).
Executive Director, Marketing, Sales and Service, Ford India, Anurag Mehrotra said, "We are ushering in the New Year with a great product to delight all compact SUV lovers. The Platinum Edition is in keeping with our commitment to introduce products that Indian customers want and value."
