Ford EcoSport Gets Minor Updates; Launch Next Month
The Ford EcoSport that is going to be launched next month will feature some minor updates.
According to media reports, Ford India is preparing a minor update for its compact SUV, the EcoSport. The slightly tweaked compact SUV will launch next month.
It was reported that the automaker will be launching the EcoSport with major changes in India during the first quarter of 2017. But, recent reports suggests that Ford will launch the above mentioned EcoSport by Diwali 2017, and launch a mild facelifted version now.
Ford unveiled the 2017 EcoSport at the Los Angeles Auto Show last year. The facelift will also be exported to the US from India. This particular model will have some major external and internal styling changes.
The EcoSport that will be launched next month will feature some tech changes, including an optional touchscreen infotainment system. These changes are made by Ford to keep the EcoSport on par with its fierce rival, the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza.
The Vitara Brezza is equipped with a touchscreen infotainment system that integrates Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The compact SUV from Maruti Suzuki entered the Indian market in March last year.
The facelifted EcoSport will feature a new steering wheel, updated instrument cluster and centre console, and the SYNC 2 infotainment system. On the other hand, the exterior design will sport a new face with a bolder grille and a new rear section.
