2017 Force Gurkha RFC India To Be Held In Goa
The fourth season of the Force Gurkha RFC India will be held in Goa from July 22 to July 30, 2017.
The fourth season of the Force Gurkha RFC India will kick-off in Goa. India's most incredible off-road motorsports event will be held from July 22 to July 30, 2017, across various locations in the city.
The 2017 RFC India has attracted a strong entry of 40 robust teams across the country. Sponsored by Force Motors Ltd., RFC India was launched by Delhi-based Cougar Motorsport Pvt. Ltd. in 2014.
It is the India Chapter of the Malaysian RFC, which is listed among the top ten toughest motor races in the world and has over 20 editions worldwide. The event will be held in 26 competitive Special Stages (SS) that will test the contestants' driving and vehicle recovery skills, team spirit and their physical and mental endurance under extreme off-road conditions.

Vehicle Scrutiny will be held ahead of the event on July 22, 2017, at International Centre Goa (ICG) at Dona Paula. All vehicles will be checked for their compliance with RFC India safety specifications. Drivers will be guided about RFC India Rules and Regulations pertaining to driver and co-driver safety.
The first set of Special Stages of the off-road motorsport mega event will be held at Xenem in Gancim on July 24, 2017. The RFC India will reach its climax on July 30, 2017, at the Rajiv Gandhi IT Habitat.
Cougar Motorsport's Founder and Director, Ashish Gupta said, "It is exhilarating to see the tremendous response that this event has received over the years. In fact, RFC India 2017 will witness the maximum number of participants till date, with 40 teams coming from various parts of the country including Delhi, Goa, Maharashtra, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Kerala, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu."
RFC India Course Master, David Metcalfe said, "In the 2016 edition, I saw quite an evolved performance by a number of teams and they managed to tackle even the most difficult obstacles quite successfully. So, we have decided to increase the difficulty level of the Special Stages this year."
