Italian carmaker Fiat has revealed the new 500L. The Fiat 500L is the MPV version of Fiat's iconic 500 hatchback.
The 2017 Fiat 500L gets a host of tweaks including revised styling, additional tech options, more customization options and a revamped range. The Fiat 500L will go on sale later this year.
The Fiat 500L gets a range of engines including three petrol and two diesel powerplants. The smallest of the engines is the two cylinder 0.9-litre Twin air engine that produces 103bhp.
The other two petrol options are the naturally aspirated and turbocharged versions of the 1.4-litre engine that produce 94bhp and 118bhp respectively. The diesel options are a 94bhp 1.3-litre and an 118bhp 1.6-litre engine.
Design-wise, the new 500L gets a revised grille and front bumper which looks quite chunky but not that different from the one found on the previous car. The new 500L borrows the 500's LED Daytime Running Lights and also sports new fog and reversing lamps. The new 500L is available with 37 different colour combinations.
Inside, the 500L gets a host of upgrades including a multi-function steering wheel, a new instrument cluster with a 3.5-inch round display flanked by the speedo and tacho, and Fiat's 7-inch Uconnect infotainment system featuring Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The 500L also gets new storage options, a central armrest, and ambient lighting.
Fiat has also revised the 500L range. While the Urban trim remains more or less the same, the 7-seater version is now known as the Wagon (seen above).
The former Trekking variant is now called the Cross gets rugged body cladding, a 25mm increase in ride height and a traction-enhancing drive mode selector with hill descent control which Fiat calls Gravity Mode.
