The Ferrari 812 Superfast has been unveiled ahead of its global debut at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. The new 812 Superfast will replace the F12berlinetta as the flagship V12 Grand Tourer in Ferrari's lineup.

Powering the Ferrari 812 Superfast is a new 6.5-litre V12 engine producing 789bhp (the same as the LaFerrari's V12 and 40bhp more than the F12) @ 8,500rpm and 718Nm of torque @ 7,000rpm. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a dual-clutch gearbox.

The Ferrari 812 Superfast will sprint from 0-100km/h in 2.9 seconds (exactly the same as the special-edition F12tdf and two-tenths of a second faster than the F12) and has top speed in excess of 211mph (339.5km/h).

The biggest change in terms of driving dynamics is the new electronically assisted power steering, the first ever fitted on a Ferrari.

The 812 Superfast also sports Ferrari's updated four-wheel-steering setup. The new setup is known as Virtual Short Wheelbase 2.0 and Ferrari claims that the revised system improves the nimbleness of the handling and stability when cornering.

The new 812's design is a clear evolution of the F12berlineta's styling with its long swooping bonnet and fastback rear. The LED headlamps look sharper and combined with the air intakes give the new 812 Superfast a much more aggressive look compared to the Ferrari F12.

Ferrari claims that the 812 Superfast is inspired by the 1969 365 GTB4 ‘Daytona' which is quite noticeable at the rear which sports four round taillights. The rear end of the car also features quad exhausts and a painted diffuser that sits below the rear apron.
