Fernando Alonso Ready To Switch From Formula One To IndyCar
Two-time Formula One World Champion Fernando Alonso stated that he is ready to switch to IndyCar.
McLaren-Honda driver and two-time Formula One World Champion, Fernando Alonso stated that he is ready to make a switch to IndyCar racing.
In an American telecast, Alonso was asked whether he would consider switching to IndyCar racing series as a full-time driver. He replied, "Why not?"
Alonso led the 27 laps of his first IndyCar race in Indianapolis 500. He was live from Montreal, in the NBCSNs live broadcast of the Texas race. He was also racing in the Canadian Grand Prix.
Alonso was asked whether he would make a switch to America's premier open-wheel racing series if there is no suitable F1 seat. Alonso said, "Why not?"
Alonso said, "I mean, I'm very open to anything. I don't have a clear answer right now. I would be lying if I told you I know what would happen next year."
Alonso was impressed by the spectacle of the Texas race. He stated that the IndyCar racing is thrilling. He added, "Watching now the race, these guys, they are the best guys. I have to learn many things to do one race, I need to learn so many more to do the whole season."
Alonso stated that he is ready to do Formula One and he will try to find the best car possible by looking at different options. He also said that IndyCar would be the first priority for his third title.
