Faraday Future has revealed its first electric SUV, the FF91 at the 2017 Consumer Electronic Show(CES) in Las Vegas. The electric SUV will hit the roads in spring 2018.
The Faraday Future FF91 electric SUV has garnered over 64,000 bookings in just 36 hours of its launch. Although it is uncertain whether all the bookings have been made by paying the $5000 priority reservation or the free option.
This could pose a serious problem for Faraday Future as the company has already faced a lot of financial trouble with lawsuits and rent payments for their production plant.
The Faraday Future FF91 can be booked by two options. In priority reservation option, a customer has to pay $5,000 (Rs 3.41 lakh) to book the electric SUV and the second option is a free one or called as a standard reservation.
The reservation fee paid will be refunded and the customer can get his SUV in the initial lots, whereas the free bookings will be given second priority.
The Faraday Future FF91 is an all-wheel-drive vehicle and has a range of 600km. The electric SUV can sprint from 0-100km/h in just under 2.5 seconds. But Faraday Future has not revealed the price of the electric vehicle. The production of FF91 will commence in 2018.
