Toyota Camry Hybrid Facelift Launched In India
Toyota has launched the facelifted Camry in India with added interior features and a slight design change.
Japanese carmaker Toyota, has launched the facelifted Camry Hybrid in India, priced at Rs 31.98 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi). The facelifted Camry Hybrid now features more equipment than its predecessor.
Speaking about the facelifted Camry Hybrid's exterior, the sedan gets redesigned LED fog lamps and new 15-spoke alloy wheels. Inside, the Camry Hybrid comes equipped with a new 12 speaker (JBL) audio system and a new interface for the navigation system.
Other features include wireless mobile charging, a new reverse camera monitor with corner sensors, nine SRS airbags, tyre pressure monitoring system, and an emergency brake signal.
Powering the facelifted Camry Hybrid is a 2.5-litre petrol engine combined with an electric motor that makes 202bhp, and power is sent to the front wheels through a CVT gearbox.
The new Camry Hybrid can run on pure electric mode only at low speeds, and if the throttle is depressed for more power, the car switches to a combination of electric and engine power. The battery is recharged through brake regeneration and Toyota claim a mileage of 19.16km/l and 0 to 100km/h can be achieved in 9.2 seconds.
Being a Hybrid, the Camry facelift falls under the Government's Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of (Hybrid and) Electric Vehicles in India (FAME). This helps Toyota price the Camry competitively compared to its rivals.
Another car making headlines is the newly launched Honda City facelift, pictured in the image gallery below.
