Emerson Fittipaldi Teams With Mahindra Owned Pininfarina To Develop Supercars
Fittipaldi has the knowledge and experience to develop supercars as he was the youngest F1 champion of his era.
Former Formula One champion and Brazilian racer Emerson Fittipaldi has joined hands with Italian design firm Pininfarina and a German design and engineering firm HWA to develop supercars. Pininfarina is now owned by Indian group Mahindra & Mahindra.
Fittipaldi has the knowledge and experience to develop supercars as he was the youngest F1 champion of his era. He won the F1 title two times in 1972 and 1974. The series of supercars from this joint-venture will be launched in the upcoming years.
The first model of the supercar series is named as Fittipaldi EF7 Vision by Pininfarina. The supercar is expected to be unveiled at the Geneva International Motor Show next month.
The teased image uploaded by Pininfarina on Wednesday shows a massive rear wing, sleek taillights and slanting roof. From the image, it is clear that the car is a mid-engined one.
Pininfarina has said in a press statement about Fittipaldi that, "His sole mission was to apply all his track knowledge of creating a new experience that will elevate the driving ability of all supercar enthusiasts from around the world."
The teased supercar will also appear in the next Gran Turismo racing game as the next Vision GT concept car. We have to wait until Geneva Motor Show to have a glimpse at the new supercar developed by the former F1 champ.
