Dodge Viper To Go Out Of Production This August
Dodge has confirmed that the Viper production will stop this August, and the carmaker has already sold out cars made for this year.
Here's a bit of bad news for the Dodge Viper fans out there — Dodge has officially confirmed that the production of the Viper sportscar will end on August 31, 2017.
Ralph Gilles, the Design Chief at FCA made the announcement at the 2017 Chicago Auto Show and also confirmed that all the cars made for its final model year are sold out.
Last year, when Dodge made the announcement of stopping the Viper's production, the company limited orders to 206 units before reopening orders before the end of the year. Dodge managed to sell the first set of orders in a week.
To celebrate the final year of the Dodge Viper, the carmaker released a set of five special edition cars, including a 1:28 Edition ACR, GTS-R Commemorative Edition ACR, VooDoo II Edition, Snakeskin Edition GTC, and the Dodge Dealer Edition ACR.
If the Dodge Viper was in your mind and you think you missed it, perhaps the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat pictured below could change your mind.
