Chevrolet Enjoy — during the Global NCAP test failed miserable causing a lot of damage to the passengers.
The New Car Assessment Programme (NCAP) is a European car safety performance assessment program. Over here, cars undergo some serious crashing and testing. Bases on the results the cars are given stars. More the stars mean better safety.
Now, the India-bound Chevrolet Enjoy from General Motors has failed the crash test miserably. It was so deadly that for the adult passenger it scored 0 stars and 2 stars for the children. Take a look below to find out what exactly happened during the crash test.
The protection offered to the driver head and chest was poor. Meanwhile, the passenger's head protection was weak while chest protection was sufficient, but, not up to the mark.
Foot safety of the passengers was also not up to the mark. During the impact, the knees of the passenger sitting in the front received serious impact.
On the other hand, the bodyshell of the car was rated to be weak. The car was not capable of withstanding any further burdening. So, trying to perform some more tests was not possible.
The child which was seated behind was unable to stop extreme forward movement during the crash test. The recommended CRSs did not show incompatibility. The installation instructions on both child seats were insufficient and not permanently attached to the seat.

While, on the other hand, the diesel variant is powered by a 1.3-litre engine. The engine is capable of churning out 76 bhp of power and a massive 188 Nm of peak torque.
The petrol and diesel variants are priced at INR 6.58 lakh to INR 7.68 lakh, ex-showroom, respectively. Moreover, GM is trying to improve the safety aspects of the MPV so that it can be a much more reliable car and fun to drive.
