BMW M4 Club Sport Revealed At 2017 Shanghai Motor Show
BMW has revealed the M4 Club Sport coupe at the 2017 Shanghai Motor Show. The M4 CS will be slotted below the M4 GTS and above the M4 Competition Pack.
German automaker BMW's M4 Coupe family receives a new member, the M4 CS. The M4 Club Sport is revealed at the 2017 Shanghai Motor Show.
The BMW M4 Club Sport (CS) is designed to slot in the M4 range between the M4 Competition Pack and the M4 GTS. But the M4 GTS being a limited edition model has been sold out.
The M4 CS has received a bump in power output and lost some weight to provide a sporty driving experience. But the M4 CS is not as manic as the top-of-the-range GTS.
The BMW M4 CS draws power from the existing 3-litre twin turbo six-cylinder engine deployed in the rest of the M4 range. The engine churns out 460bhp and 600Nm of peak torque. The engine is coupled to a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
The M4 CS can sprint from 0-100km/h in just 3.9 seconds. The top speed is electronically limited to 278km/h. BMW states that the car lapped the iconic Nurburgring circuit with a time of 7 minutes 38 seconds.
The weight reduction on the M4 CS is achieved by the use of carbon-fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP) and CS-specific front splitter, spoiler lip and rear diffusor.
The M4 Club Sport receives only subtle changes to the exterior and interior. The car gets an all-new spoiler on the boot and 19-inch and 20-inch alloy wheels at the front and rear respectively.
The M4 CS will be offered in five colour schemes. Lime Rock Grey Metallic, Alpine White, San Marino Blue Metallic, Sapphire Black metallic and Frozen Dark Blue II.
