BMW To Introduce ‘Frozen Editions’ Of The i8 At Geneva
BMW will unveil two limited edition models of the i8, called Frozen Editions at the Geneva Motor Show.
The BMW i8 is a spectacular car, be it in terms of design, hybrid performance, or colours. Now, the German carmaker is looking to up the game by introducing 'Frozen Editions' of the i8.
BMW will launch two colours as part of the ‘Frozen Editions' — black and yellow, called the i8 Protonic Frozen Black Edition, and the i8 Protonic Frozen Yellow Edition. With the introduction of two new colours, the i8 will be available in a total of 12 colours.
Both cars will come with custom exterior paint jobs and a number of bespoke interior options to chose from. The BMW i8 ‘Frozen Editions' are expected to be made in limited numbers, and one can expect them to sell like hot cakes (cold in this case).
The BMW i8 is powered by a 1.5-litre, three-cylinder hybrid engine that makes 357bhp and 569Nm of peak torque, paired to a 6-speed automatic gearbox that sends power to all four-wheels.
BMW has not revealed the price, but the i8 sells for approximately Rs 2.46 crore on-road (Delhi). We can expect the cost of the Frozen Editions to be significantly higher.
