BMW 8 Series Concept Official Images Leaked Ahead Of Reveal
The BMW 8 Series Concept will be officially revealed at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in Italy on May 26, 2017.
Ahead of its official unveil at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este in Italy, the BMW 8 Series concept images was leaked.
Images posted online reveal that the car would retain the two-door coupé layout of its predecessor, which bore the same moniker when it was launched in 1989.
The pictures show a sleek, low-slung body two-door coupe. At the front, the expanded kidney grille is flanked by sleek headlamps. The hood looks sculpted and adds to the character of the coupe.
The side profile wears stylish and large wheels wearing low-profile tyres along with the vertical air vents and sleek mirrors. At the rear, the dramatic roofline effortlessly merges into the spoiler.
The BMW 8 Series is expected to be built on CLAR platforms, which are shared with the 5 and 7 Series. Power to the new Coupe could come with a 601bhp 6.6-litre V12 engine at the top of the range with a peak torque of 799Nm.
Also, the Bavarian automaker is expected to offer a flagship M high-performance variant on the BMW 8 Series.
The BMW 8 Series is expected to replace the 6 Series which was discontinued in February 2017; however, it continues to produce the 6-Series Gran Coupe and Convertible models.
