Bentley Continental 24 Special Edition Revealed — Marks Marque's Green Hell 24 Hours Entry
The Bentley Continental is limited to 24 units and is based on the Supersports.
Bentley has revealed the limited edition Continental 24 to mark the British carmaker's entry into the 2017 Nurburgring 24 Hours race which takes place this weekend at the infamous circuit known by drivers as the Green Hell.
Production of the Continental 24 will be limited to just 24 units which will be sold to customers in Europe who will need to cough out £215,000 (Rs 1.8 crores) for the privilege of owning one.
Based on the Continental Supersports, the fastest Bentley of all time, the Continental 24 gets motorsports inspired cosmetic makeover on the inside and out but mechanically, the car remains unchanged.
The 6.0-litre twin turbocharged W12 engine produces 700bhp and 1,017Nm of torque which is sent to all four wheels through an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The sprint from 0-100km/h takes just 3.5 seconds and the Continental 24 will continue to accelerate till it tops out at 336km/h (209mph).
The Continental 24 is available with a pair of two-tone exterior paint finishes. The base Black Crystal paint contrasts with the bonnet, roof and boot lid along with decals which are finished in either St James' Red or Monaco Yellow. A single tone paintjob is a no-cost optional extra.
The 21-inch black alloy wheels feature highlights in either red or yellow depending on which two-tone paint scheme is chosen. The Bentley Continental 24 also sports black brake callipers and carbon fibre wing mirrors.
Inside, the carbon fibre makes its presence known again with the dashboard and centre console along with the door panels and treadplates, which feature each car's individual number using the weave.
Depending on which of the two-tone paint schemes was chosen, highlights inside the cabin feature the same colour. Each seat is wrapped in diamond quilted leather with the headrest sporting the unique Continental 24 emblem.
Deliveries of the limited-edition Bentley Continental 24 to customers will start in just over a month in July. The Nurburgring 24 Hours race, on the other hand, starts at 7:00 p.m.on Saturday May 27
