Alpine A120 Teased Ahead Of Geneva Motor Show Debut

The upcoming Alpine A120 has been teased ahead of its debut at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show which will also mark the return of Renault's sports car brand to production after 22 years.

French car manufacturer Alpine has released more teaser images of its upcoming A120 sports car which is set to debut at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show in March. The debut of the A120 will also mark the return of Alpine after 22 years in obscurity after its parent company Renault shut it down in 1995.

The new teaser images reveal the aero capabilities of Alpine's new A120 including the flat floor and the diffuser at the rear which Alpine claims to have made possible thanks to a "technique carried over from the world of supercars". Also present at the rear is a massive single exhaust pipe.

The Alpine A120 is based on the Vision Concept revealed almost one year ago, a car that the French carmaker stated was 80 percent production ready. If that 80 percent included the final design, then we sure are getting one cool looking car this March.

The Alpine A120 will rival the likes of the Porsche 718 Cayman and the Alfa Romeo 4C and will be powered by a four-cylinder turbocharged engine producing between 250 - 300bhp which will allow the A120 to sprint from 0 - 100km/h in just 4.5 seconds.
