Alpine A110 Slow-Tease Reveal Is Still An Ongoing Process — This Comeback Better Be Great
French carmaker Renault's Alpine sports car sub-brand is slowly unravelling the secrets behind its comeback car.
French carmaker Renault's sports car sub-brand Alpine has revealed its first new car in almost three decades, the Alpine A110 ahead of its debut at the Geneva Motor Show. Well, sort off.
Alpine in the slow and rather French way have decided to keep the drama going by revealing just two images of the car, which doesn't seem that different from the concept car from last year's Geneva Motor Show. Sure, there are a few nips and tucks to help it into production, but the shape is very familiar.
Powering the newly named Alpine A110 is a turbocharged engine we know will produce around 250bhp allowing the car to sprint to the century mark in under 4.5 seconds thanks to the less than 1,100kg weight.
The new Alpine A110 will go up against the similarly lightweight Alfa Romeo 4C and the big daddy of the small sports car league it will compete in, the Porsche 718 Cayman.
