All You Need To Know About The Tata Tigor's Different Variants
Tata Motors has launched its new compact sedan, the Tigor in the Indian market. Read now to know all about the variants of the newly launched sedan.
Indian automaker Tata Motors launched its new compact sedan, the Tigor in the Indian market on March 29, 2017. The company is branding the car as a Styleback and it is slotted above Tiago.
The Tigor is based on its hatchback sibling, the Tiago. The new compact sedan is offered in four diesel and petrol variants in the Indian market. The Tigor draws power from a 1.2-litre petrol engine and a 1.05-litre diesel engine. Here is a detailed breakup of all the variants of the Tigor.
Tata Tigor XZ(O): Diesel - Rs 7.09 lakh and Petrol - Rs 6.19 lakh, Ex-showroom (Delhi)
The Tigor XZ(O) is the top-of-the-range variant of the compact sedan with all the bells and whistles on offer. The diesel and petrol models get the same features, trim levels and design. The features include touchscreen infotainment system, electric ORVMs, climate control and an armrest for rear passengers.
Apart from that, the XZ(O) variant also gets projector headlamps, alloy wheels, body coloured ORVMs and door handles. It also comes loaded with the safety features such as dual airbags, ABS with EBD and corner stability control.
Tata Tigor XZ: Diesel - Rs 6.80 lakh and Petrol - Rs 5.90 lakh, Ex-showroom (Delhi)
The Tigor XZ is the second variant of the compact sedan priced Rs 29,000 lower than the XZ(O) variant. The XZ variant misses out on touchscreen infotainment system, climate control, premium roof liner and Tata smart remote. But all the safety features are retained, which makes it a good deal.
Tata Tigor XT: Diesel - Rs 6.31 lakh and Petrol - Rs 5.41 lakh, Ex-showroom (Delhi)
The Tigor XT is the mid-level variant of the compact sedan. The XT variant is priced Rs 50,000 lower than the XZ variants. The price cut is achieved through removing the alloy wheels, external chrome garnish, body coloured air vents and tweeter from the sound system.
Apart from that, the XT variant also misses out on the airbags and seat belt pre-tensioners. Although, the Tigor XT retains the ABS and EBD safety feature.
Tata Tigor XE: Diesel - Rs 5.6 lakh and Petrol - Rs 4.7 lakh, Ex-showroom (Delhi)
The Tigor XE is the entry-level variant of the compact sedan. The model does not get the exterior chrome garnish and body coloured ORVMs. The interior is dual toned but misses out on the music system, power windows, and height adjustment for the driver's seat.
The Tigor XE variants are priced Rs 71,000 and Rs 73,000 lower than the XT models. But the XZ(O) variant is a good deal as it gets all the features and is priced just Rs 29,000 more than the standard XZ trim level.
