Honda Teases The 10th Generation Accord
The 2018 Honda Accord was teased through a sketch, and the sedan will be officially revealed on July 14, 2017.
Arguably the eternal best-seller from Honda is undergoing a dramatic makeover. The 10th generation Honda Accord has been teased through a sketch.
The Japanese automaker calls the new Accord as a “dramatically styled” 10th-generation Accord, assuring that the midsize sedan is being completely remade from the ground up.
Honda confirmed that the 2018 Accord would feature three powerful and fuel-efficient engines, including a couple of new direct-injected turbocharged units that will be mated with either a new Honda-developed 10-speed automatic gearbox, continuously variable transmission (CVT), or a six-speed manual gearbox, depending on the engine.
Also, the company said that there would be a hybrid version of the Accord powered by Honda's two-motor hybrid unit.
The 2018 Honda Accord will be officially revealed on July 14, 2017, when complete details will be known. The new Accord is expected to be the most fun-to-drive, premium and dramatically styled Accord ever, according to Honda.
The sketch shows the front profile of the new Accord, and we can see LED headlamps and a grille that reflects the style of the Civic FC’s. However, the lights and grille connect to the lower grille here, and the side intakes housing LED foglamps are aggressively fashioned. The rims might be blade-style five-spoke wheels seen on the camouflaged prototype.
For India, the new Honda Accord might be introduced by the end of 2018 or by 2019.
DriveSpark Thinks!
With Honda dropping the 3.5-litre for the 2.0-litre turbo from the latest Civic Type R, the Accord will be positioned as an everyday car, thereby increasing the company's market share regarding sales.
