The Camaro ZL1 Goes Into Beast Mode With New Weight Loss Package
The 1LE performance package will make the Camaro ZL1 go even faster and will help it loose some weight.
The Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 is one hell of a monster on the track. But, if that much power is not enough to float your boat, then the company is offering an additional 1LE performance package. This package will make the beast even beastlier.
Chevrolet's 1LE package for the Camaro is all about making the car perform better in the corners; and since the Camaro ZL1 already seems like a beast on the track, the package will include some heavy-duty hardware for the car.
One of the most obvious change after installing the 1LE package will be the big one-piece carbon fiber wing and massive integrated front dive planes for more downforce. The package also includes satin black hood, mirrors, wheels are an exposed carbon fiber hood extractor.
Powering the beast is a massive 6.2-liter LT4 V8 engine. The car is capable of producing 650 bhp of power and massive 881Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a new eight-speed gearbox which catapults the car from 0 to 100 km/h in under 4 seconds!
The performance package also adds standard Multimatic DSSV dampers with adjustable ride height up front; and not only that, there are adjustable camber plates, adjustable rear sway bar, and enormous Goodyear Eagle F1 tires (305mm section up front and 325mm out back).
The package not only adds stuff to the car but, also helps reduce weight. The car, after installing the 1LE shreds almost 27 kgs when compared to the standard car. This massive weight reduction is possible because of a lighter rear bench and the updated suspension bits.
Now, let's talk about the price. The standard ZL1 costs around $61,140 (approx INR 40,74,265) and the 1LE package comes with a price tag of $6,500 (approx INR 4,33,148). So if you are planning to buy a ZL1 along with the 1LE package, it will sum up to $ 70 grand, which we feel is not a bad deal.
