Driving up to the porch of your house or be it driving past your neighbour's house, it might look straight out of a cover photo of a magazine for many of Audi A8 drivers. However, when your Audi A8 parks on its own, it takes your experience to a whole new level.

Audi has teased the next-generation A8 not just with an image, but with a unique feature as well. The 2018 Audi A8 can park on its own with its remote parking pilot autonomous feature.

Audi had claimed that the A8, its flagship sedan, will spearhead the autonomy features among other four-ringed cars. This teaser of the Audi A8 reveals not just the design language of the A8 sedan, but reveals features that will set the A8 apart from the rest.

The A8 will pit itself against the newly unveiled BMW 7 Series, Mercedes-Benz announced a revised S-Class a couple of months ago. Audi will reveal the A8 on June 11, 2017, at the Audi Summit, an exhibition devoted to "pioneering solutions for the urban mobility of tomorrow."

Along with Level 3 autonomous feature, the A8 will have a mild hybrid system made up of a 48-volt setup which is designed to capture, store and use brake energy.

So how does the mild hybrid system on the new A8 work? Whenever the car hits close to 20km/h, the engine automatically switches off. The new A8 can coast up to 40 seconds between speeds of about 55 to 160km/h.

The issue with start/ stop systems is that it lags unpleasantly sometimes; however, Audi has developed the new A8 with the belt-driven alternator and starter and will be able to kick-start whatever V6 you buy much faster.
