2017 Tokyo Auto Salon: Honda Civic Type R Makes Asian Premiere
Honda officially announced that the sales of the Civic hatchback, Type R and the new Civic sedan will begin in summer 2017.
Honda's concept hatch Civic Type R Prototype has made its Asian Premiere at the 2017 Tokyo Auto Salon. This prototype is adorned with red accents and the interior is also embellished with the same colour scheme.
The Civic Type R draws the power from the same 2.0-litre turbocharged VTEC petrol engine as the standard variant. The powerplant produces 306bhp of power at 6,500rpm and 400Nm of peak torque at 2,500rpm.
The Japanese manufacturer also made an official announcement that sales of the Civic Sedan, Civic hatchback and Type R will commence in summer 2017 in Japan. Type R along with the standard hatch will be manufactured at Swindon Plant in the UK, then from there both the models will be exported to the global markets.
The Civic sedan will be put together at company's Saitama Factory group in Japan. Besides the new prototype model, Honda also showcased both the standard hatch and the sedan versions.
All three models were accompanied by a number of cars and motorcycles from the Japanese marque including Formula One cars, Super GT racers and MotoGP race machines.
Lamborghini has always made cars which look absolutely astonishing and manic. The new raging bull, the Aventador S also follows the tradition. Check our photo gallery of this V12 powered masterpiece.
