The 2017 facelifted Honda City has been spied in India during an ad shot. These are the first undisguised images of the revamped sedan.
The 2017 Honda City has been teased several times by the Japanese car manufacturer. The globally sold model has been also spied in Indonesia revealing the new front and rear fascia of the revamped sedan.
Now, the India-spec Honda City facelift has been spotted by TeamBHP in India during an official ad shoot. The car seen in the images is the completely undisguised model. Honda is expected to launch the facelifted City in the Indian market in the first quarter of 2017.
The facelifted City gets a revamped front fascia which is inspired from the new-generation Civic sedan. The car gets new headlamp cluster featuring LED lights. The front grille is wider and it gets a large chrome bar.
The chrome bar extends all the way to the headlamps, which is similar to that of the Civic. The front bumper of the car has been redesigned and now it houses large fog lamp enclosures.
The rear of the new City also gets a revamped styling. The facelifted sedan sports redesigned tail lamps and boot-lip spoiler integrated with a stop light. The rear bumper also gets blacked out area in the lower section.
The 2017 Honda City will be powered the existing 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines that are employed in the currently sold model.
The new facelifted Honda City will be launched in the global market on January 12, 2017. When launched in India the new City will take on its market rivals such as Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Hyundai Verna, Volkswagen Vento and Skoda Rapid.
