Volkswagen Likely To Launch All-New Product Ahead Of Festive Season
Volkswagen launched it's very first completely made in India product recently. The German automobile manufacturer named the compact sedan as 'Ameo'. Initially, it was launched with a petrol engine and a diesel engine was expected to be introduced at a later stage.
Now, Volkswagen is most likely to introduce theAmeo with a diesel engine ahead of the festive season. There is a high possibility of VW Ameo diesel to launch on September 27, 2016. So far, pricing of Ameo diesel has not been disclosed, however, bookings are expected to open soon.
Under the hood of VW Ameo, will be a 1.5-litre diesel engine. This engine will produce 110bhp, along with 230Nm of peak torque output. Volkswagen India will be equipping the Ameo diesel engine with a manual transmission.
Ameo with a diesel engine will be available in three variants - Trendline, Comfortline, and Highline. In terms of design and features, the VW Ameo with a diesel engine will be similar to the previously launched Ameo with a petrol engine.
