Volvo XC90 T8 To Be Available In Excellence Variant In India
Swedish carmaker Volvo is expected to launch the hybrid T8 variant of its XC90 SUV in India soon and has already imported the car into India for R&D purposes.
According to carandbike.com, Volvo will bring in the most powerful XC90 in the rather exclusive and extremely luxurious Excellence Edition trim level to India. The Excellence Edition T8 variant is expected to be priced at Rs. 1.2 crore.
The Excellence Edtion T8 XC90 is the ultra-luxurious variant of the XC90 which transforms it from a 7-seater school runabout into a 4-seat tribute to opulence.
The middle row and rear seats are removed and in place come two seats that are reclinable and can be electronically adjusted as well. In addition to that, the seats have massage functionality to ensure those long rides are even more comfortable and the usual heating and cooling as well to ensure the occupant is as comfortable as he can be.
Volvo has also added in a pop-up touch screen display in between the two seats just in front of the arm rest. Also present on the 'Excellence Edition' is a refrigerator which comes with its own exclusive set of crystal glasses and special champagne flute holders. The fridge can hold two champagne bottles or whatever it is that catches your fancy instead.
Separating the occupants from the rear cargo hold is a glass partition that helps keep down noise levels and also helps cool the car down faster.
The T8 variant of the XC90 is the most powerful variant of the SUV and uses a 2-litre petrol engine that is both supercharged and turbocharged along with an electric motor to produce 402bhp and 640Nm of torque.
