oi-Abijith Vilangil
Volvo has imported another top-of-the-line XC90 to India. This time, it's the XC90 T8 Twin Engine Plug-in Hybrid.
Latest updates from the import export data reveal that the carmaker has imported a single unit of the XC 90 T8 Hybrid SUV from Sweden to Chennai port for certification purposes.
Volvo has chosen the 2.0-litre 4-cylinder force-inducted engine capable of producing 400bhp and 640Nm torque to power the XC90 T8. The engine will be powered by an additional 87bhp electric motor which results in a combined output of 407bhp.
The transmission on the XC90 T8 will be an 8-speed automatic gearbox which will send power to an electronically controlled AWD system. The mighty 7-seater can sprint from 0-100km/h in 5.6 seconds. The car can also deliver a range of 41km in fully electric mode.
