Spotted: Volvo XC60 in Germany
Overall, the design of the vehicle resembles its elder sibling, the XC90.
The next-generation Volvo XC60 spotted testing in Germany. As you can see, the vehicle is heavily camouflaged revealing some small details.
The styling of the next-gen Volvo XC60 looks very similar to S90 and the V90. By looking at the picture, we can see the hallmark Thor's Hammer headlight and the waterfall grille at the front.
Overall, the design of the vehicle resembles its elder sibling, the XC90. It is expected that the interior will also be borrowed from the SUV.
The second-gen XC60 will be based on the company's SPA (Scalable Product Architecture) platform. Currently, this platform is used by the XC90, S90 and V90.
We can expect these engine options; Drive-E turbocharged, supercharged three- and four-cylinder petrol and diesel units. Volvo will also make a Twin Engine petrol-electric plug-in hybrid model.
The next-gen Volvo XC60 will debut next year and will hit the European market by the second half of 2017. We can expect Volvo to launch this model sometime in 2018.
