Volvo’s Largest Cross Country Wagon Breaks Cover
Swedish luxury carmaker Volvo has unveiled its new Cross Country wagon, the 2017 V90 Cross Country, only the fourth wagon in company's history. The new model was simultaneously revealed in Sweden, Switzerland and Vail, Colorado.
Volvo V90 will be firm's largest Cross Country wagon and is expected to be priced higher than its rivals Subaru and Audi. The V90 gets much of its components from the XC90, which is already on market. The V90 Cross Country will hit the markets next year. Volvo officials believe that the Cross Country will be a better seller than its wagon model.
Volvo V90 Cross Country is powered by turbocharged and supercharged 2-litre, inline 4-cylinder engine which churns out 316bhp, and is mated to a 8-speed automatic gearbox. All-wheel-drive comes as a standard feature.
An Hybrid T8 model is also speculated to have the same engine coupled with an electric motor which produces 87bhp and combining both, the hybrid version pumps out 400bhp. V90 Cross Country's price tag starts at $56,295 (Approximately Rs 37 lakh).
