Volkswagen Polo GTI Launched In India; Prices Start At Rs. 25.65 Lakh
Volkswagen has launched the limited edition Polo GTI hot hatchback in India.
German carmaker Volkswagen has launched the Polo GTI in India. Prices for the limited edition Polo GTI hot hatchback, of which only 99 units will be sold in India, start at Rs. 25.65 lakh, ex-showroom (Mumbai).
Volkswagen Polo GTI Price List
- Mumbai - Rs. 25.65 lakh
- Delhi - Rs. 25.99 lakh
The Polo GTi is powered by a 1.8-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine that cranks out 189bhp and 250Nm of torque.
The engine is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox that sends the power and torque to the front wheels.
The Volkswagen Polo GTI will sprint from 0-100km/h in 7.2 seconds and will keep on accelerating till it hits a top speed of 233km/h.
Unlike the normal Polo, the Polo GTi will only be available in a 3-door variant, which is the guise that it was showcased in at the 2016 Auto Expo earlier this year.
Design wise, the Polo features a sleek honeycomb grille up front which is flanked by LED headlamps with red inserts.
The front bumper is also more aggressive than the one found on the normal Polo and features larger air intakes.
On the sides, the Polo GTI sports slightly flared out wheel arches. The wheel arches play host to 17-inch alloy wheels.
At the rear, the Polo GTI features dual chrome exhaust pipes that stick out of the left side of the boot along with a small spoiler on the roof.
On the inside, the Polo GTI features a flat-bottomed steering wheel.
The upholstery for the seats features the GTI signature red stripes & stitching.
The limited run Polo GTI will compete with the likes of the Mini Cooper in India.
