Connected Car Technology To Be Developed By Volkswagen & LG
Volkswagen Group and LG Electronics will be coming together for a special project. The duo will focus on developing an all-new innovative technologies for Connected Car platform. The collaboration result will be showcased to the general public by 2021.
Previously, LG was providing Volkswagen with audio-visual equipment. The duo has been in partnership since 2007, offering innovative and reliable solutions. New agreement further strengthens the bond between Volkswagen Group and LG globally.
Three main aspects of Connected Technology will be explored by LG and Volkswagen. The first goal is to develop a technology that connects the home and car. Vehicle owners would be able to control the lights, appliances, security systems, and other similar systems.
The second goal is to improve providing notifications to the driver whilst driving. An intuitive and safe method will be adopted so that the driver is not distracted as he checks his notification.
The third and final innovation will be a next-gen infotainment system for Connected Car technologies to function seamlessly. We can expect to see the new technology soon in upcoming concept models from Volkswagen.
