Volkswagen Ameo Teased Ahead Of World Premiere In India

Volkswagen India recently confirmed that its all-new compact sedan will be called 'Ameo'. The Ameo will be making its debut at the 2016 Auto Expo. It will be the world premiere for the compact sedan at the motor show.

Now the German automobile giant has decided to tease us with another image of their Ameo. Volkswagen has done an excellent job of hiding their compact sedan as it gets ready for its unveiling. The manufacturer has shared an image just before the Ameo begins its journey for Delhi.

Present in the image is Dr. Andreas Lauermann, President and Managing Director of Volkswagen India. Also, in the image are several of his colleagues from the Chakan, Pune facility that have worked on Volkswagen's Ameo compact sedan.

The Ameo by Volkswagen is made in India and made for Indian customers. Volkswagen India will be manufacturing the Ameo from the ground up at their facility in Chakan, Pune. An unveiling date on February 3, 2016, is confirmed by VW for Ameo.

Under the hood of Volkswagen's new Ameo compact sedan will feature a petrol and diesel engine option. Volkswagen is most likely to use the same engine that does duty in their Polo hatchback. In terms of design as well the Ameo will look almost similar to its hatchback sibling.
