Vehicle Registration Reaches New High This Dussehra
The automobile market witnessed a boost in the sales of new two wheelers and cars in Pune this week leading up to the Dussehra on Tuesday.
According to the Regional Transport Office (RTO), there was an 83 percent rise in registration when compared to last year. Navaratri is when most people book new vehicles.
As stated by an RTO official this year's growth in sales was a notable one. The overall rise in sales has been around 30 percent adding to the last two years.
The RTO official said, "This year, the sales were up in almost all types of vehicles including buses, goods transport and autorickshaws."
The two wheeler registration was up by almost 80 percent and the passenger cars witnessed a growth of 60 percent when compared to the last year.
The sales outlets were flocked by customers on Tuesday and the dealers had a busy day attending the customers as the mood was upbeat.
A car dealer from the city said, "People were enthusiastic this time and inquiries turned into bookings. After the end of Pitru Paksha, a fortnight considered inauspicious by buyers, there were many bookings during Navaratra."
Another car dealer from the city of Pune stated that his dealership delivered around 70 cars on the day of Dussehra and the dealers had planned well and before so that the customers are served well.
