Exciting New Car Launches In April And May 2016
The Indian car market is exciting with launches of new cars in different segments, let us look at some of the cars which are going to be launched in April and May 2016.
Tata Tiago
Tata has confirmed to launch the Tiago (Zica) on March 28, 2016. The small hatchback from Tata is refreshing in its design and the whole package seems to be targeted at young buyers. The car features a swept-back headlamp and signature smiling grille. The hatchback looks a lot more sculpted compared to Tata's previous cars.
Expected Price - Rs. 3.5 - 5 lakh (ex-showroom)
Mahindra Nuvosport (Quanto)
Mahindra wants to relaunch the Quanto with a facelift and a new name, the compact SUV will feature split DRLs above the headlamp, new air scoop on the bonnet, blackened taillamps, new alloys and side body cladding. The 7-seater will feature the m-Hawk engine from Mahindra and will come in manual and automatic transmission.
Expected Price - Rs. 5.5 - 8.5 lakh (ex-showroom)
Datsun Go Cross & Redi Go
Datsun wants to jump into the compact SUV bandwagon with the launch of the Go-Cross, the Go-Cross was recently showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi early this year. It is expected that Datsun will use its Go+ MPV platform to develop this vehicle.
Expected Price - Rs. 5 - 10 lakh (ex-showroom)
Also, the company wants to enter the small car segment with the Redi Go, this will be in the low-cost segment and will target the entry-level small cars in India. It is expected to be pitted against Maruti Alto 800, Hyundai Eon and Renault Kwid.
Expected Price - Rs. 2.5 - 3.25 lakh (ex-showroom)
Jeep Grand Cherokee
Jeep will officially make its debut in India through the launch of Grand Cherokee. Fiat India will help launch the SUV in the country and assemble it here in India. In the future, Jeep will try and manufacture it in India to make it competitive price wise.
Expected Price - Rs. 35 - 45 lakh (ex-showroom)
New Audi A4
Audi will drive in the new generation A4 to India, this was recently showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi. This A4 will be much bigger however, a lot lighter compared to its older generation.
Expected Price - Rs. 32 - 42 lakh (ex-showroom)
Toyota Innova Crysta
Toyota has already stopped the production of its best seller Innova to make way for the new generation Innova to be called Crysta. The Crysta was showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo held in Delhi. The MPV has raised the curiosity of the Indian buyers and the Innova Crysta looks omnipresent with its new designing.
Expected Price - Rs. 12 - 18 lakh (ex-showroom)
Apart from the above cars, Ford will launch the Mustang later this year, this will be the sixth generation of the muscle car and expected to be priced around Rs. 60 - 80 lakhs. Also, Nissan's X-Trail, which will be a hybrid and Tata to bring in its Hexa later this year.
