Spied: Toyota Supra Spotted Testing — The Legend Is Back
Toyota's upcoming sports car has been spotted testing at the Nurburgring as it readies itself for its launch in 2018.
Now, the new sports car from Toyota, which is expected to resseruct the Supra Name has been spotted on video at the ring.
The new Supra is one of the end products of an alliance between BMW and Toyota, with the other being the upcoming BMW Z5, The Supra is expected to be available as a coupe only while the Z5 will be a soft-top convertible.
The BMW Z5 is expected to hit the market first next year with the Supra set to follow in 2018.
The new Supra will be powered by an engine rumored to be a twin-turbo V6 sourced from Lexus.
The engine's power and torque will be augmented by an electric motor which is expected tp be source from Toyota's rather large lineup of hybrids currently tootling about on the streets.
In the video seen above, we can make out a slight whirring noise which does sound similar to the one an electric motor would make.
