Toyota Records Ten Percent Growth In Domestic Sales In November
Toyota Kirloskar Motor has registered a growth of ten percent in the domestic market for the month of November.
The Indian wing of the Japanese car manufacturer, Toyota Kirloskar Motor has recorded a growth of ten percent in domestic sales during the month of November.
Toyota sold a total of 11,309 units in the domestic market and registered a growth of ten percent when compared to the sales figures of last year.
The firm also exported 1,284 units of Etios models in November 2016 making it a total of 12,593 units. In November 2015, Toyota sold a total of 10,278 units in the India market.
The Innova Crysta and the Platinum Etios have performed really well in the month of November. The Crysta clocked over 50,000 units in just six months since its launch in India. Being a premium MPV it's a milestone for Toyota.
Speaking about the monthly sales, Director & Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, N. Raja said, "November has been a very exciting month for us as we launched one of the most anticipated products of the year- the all new Fortuner."
He added, "We are overwhelmed by the response it has received with over 6200 bookings already. This has also encouraged us to meet the demands and expectations of our customers as we have shipped close to 2500 units of the new Fortuner to our dealerships across the country."
He further said, "However, demonetization has had its impact on our sales as it has effected customer walk-ins at dealerships, order bookings and timely deliveries. This will pose as a major challenge in the upcoming days as the customers are still dealing with the effects of demonetization."
He also stated that to help customers, Toyota is offering cashless schemes such as 100 percent on-road funding and payments through e-wallet to ensure smooth buying experience.
