Toyota Remains World's Biggest Carmaker; Sells 10.15 Million Cars
The year 2015 has ended with Toyota retaining the title as the world's largest carmaker. The Japanese brand sold 10.15 million cars worldwide in 2015, retaining the title for the fourth year in a row. Back in 2014, Toyota sold 10.23 million cars globally.
Following Toyota in the second place is Volkswagen, having sold 9.93 million vehicles. The German carmaker was leading the first half of 2015, until the Diesel Gate scandal slowed down sales for Volkswagen.

American carmaker General Motors came third, having sold 9.8 million vehicles.
Toyota is quet well known for models such as the Corolla, Prius, and the Land Cruiser globally, but in India, the Japanese carmaker is well known for the Innova MPV, which is the company's largest selling product.
Toyota is giving the Innova a facelift for the Indian market, and is most likely to call it the Crysta, but it is still not official. The facelifted MPV has been launched in Indonesia, with an upgraded engine and lot of creature comforts. The engine will be a 2.4-litre mill that will produce 147bhp, and will come paired to an optional automatic gearbox.
