Toyota To Launch All-New Premium SUV In India On November 7
Toyota Kirloskar Motors plans on launching its all-new Fortuner for the Indian market. All-new Fortuner will be launched in India on November 7, 2016. It will replace the previous generation Toyota Fortuner that was on offer in the country since 2012.
Under the hood of new Fortuner will be two diesel engine options. The 2.4-litre and a 2.8-litre four-cylinder diesel engine will be mated to optional 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions. Both diesel engines are similar to that used by Toyota in their Innova Crysta.
So far, no other details have been revealed by Toyota Kirloskar Motors about their new Fortuner. All we know is that new Toyota Fortuner will be identical to that offered in the international markets.
Once launched, all-new Toyota Fortuner will compete with Hyundai Santa Fe and Ford Endeavour. Base variant of all-new Fortuner is expected to bear a price tag in excess of Rs. 30 lakh ex-showroom. Toyota will expect similar success experienced by its innova Crysta.
