Toyota Innova Crysta Sells 6,694 Units In May; Waiting Period Rises
The previous-gen Toyota Innova was a hit in the Indian market. When the Japanese-based manufacturer decided to launch an all-new Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV), everyone was apprehensive. Now the sales report for the first month has been revealed.
Innova Crysta has managed to sell 6,694 units in May 2016. So far, Toyota Motors India has received an overwhelming response and has amassed over 20,000 bookings since launch. The Innova Crysta is experiencing a similar fate to its predecessor, which is phenomenal.
Waiting period for the all-new Innova Crysta is growing constantly. Currently, the MPV model commands a waiting period of almost two to three months across India. We expect that the waiting period is only going to increase as we get closer to the festive season.

The 2016 Innova Crysta is powered by a 2.4-litre diesel turbocharged engine. This engine is mated only to a 5-speed manual transmission with Eco and Power driving modes. Unfortunately, this means that the Innova Crysta cannot be sold in the Delhi-NCR region, or in Kerala.
The Second diesel engine on offer is a 2.8-litre in the Toyota Innova Crysta. This engine is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission with sequential shifts. At this moment, Toyota India is experiencing demand for both models in the country.
