Toyota Camry Hybrid Witnesses Price Reduction In Delhi
Toyota Camry Hybrid has witnessed a reduction in pricing for the Delhi region. Recently, excise duty on hybrid vehicles was reduced by the Indian Government. Previously, the Indian Government levied 24 percent excise duty, which has now been reduced to 12.5 percent.
Hybrid version of the Toyota Camry will now cost Rs. 30.9 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi). The vehicle witnesses a price reduction of almost Rs. 2.3 lakhs. Toyota Camry Hybrid is now almost similarly priced to the regular Camry model.
Powering the Camry Hybrid is a 2.5-litre petrol engine combined with an electric motor. Combined output from the engine is 202.20bhp, along with 213Nm of torque from the petrol engine and 270Nm of torque from the electric motor. Toyota Camry Hybrid can be driven in pure electric mode as well.
In terms of safety, Toyota has equipped the Camry Hybrid with seven airbags. They also offer ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), EBD (Electronic Brake force Distribution), Brake Assist, Lane Change Indicator, Vehicle Stability Control, Hill Start Assist Control, and many more safety features.
Recently, Maruti Suzuki also reduced the pricing of their Ciaz SHVS model. The price reduction was due to the Excise Duty being lowered by the Indian Government. Hybrid vehicles are also considered to be more efficient and cleaner than regular petrol or diesel models.
