Mr. Tachibana stated that Toyota had received 18,000 bookings for the new Innova Crysta and the waiting period for some variants was now as high as four months. Toyota currently produces 7,000 units of the Innova Crysta every month and the company is planning to ramp up production of its MPV to meet with the high demand.
Surprisingly, the demand for the top end variant of the Innova Crysta, with the brand new 6-speed automatic gearbox, was quite high despite its rather steep price of Rs. 20.79 lakhs ex-showroom, Mumbai.
