Owning A Tesla Model S And Model X Is Now Easier, Your Wallet May Protest Though
If you've put in your order down for a Tesla Model 3, you'll most probably have to wait for around a year and a half before you can get your hands on the electric car.
However, if you're hankering for a Tesla, the American electric carmaker has just introduced a two-year program that could let you travel about in either a Model S or a Model X, if you take either car on a lease before September 12.
The two-year lease program allows customers wanting to join the Tesla electric revolution, to get the keys to either a Model S sedan or a Model X SUV for as little as a $6,000 (Rs. 4,02,510) downpayment along with a monthly charge of $593 (Rs. 39,779).
While that may seem to be a good deal, the lease program comes with quite a few limitations, that may prove to be a hindrance to you.
The Tesla Model S deal is for the base Model S 60 variant and imposes a 10,000 mile (16,093.44 kilometre) yearly driving limit.
If you want to drive the top of the line Model S P90D the monthly payment can go as high as $1,604 (Rs. 1,07,597) per month which will allow you to drive the P90 D for 15,000 miles (24140.16 kilometres) every year.
For the Model X, the down payment remains the same at $6,000 for any model with monthly payments starting at $730 (Rs. 48,983) for a Model X 60D with a 10,000 mile a year driving limit to as much as $1,721 (Rs. 1,15,479) for a Model X P90 D with a 15,000 mile a year driving limit.
