Tesla Motors has received 276,000 orders for its newly launched Model 3 electric sedan in just 3 days.
In a tweet sent out on Sunday, April 3, Tesla Chairman and CEO, Elon Musk confirmed that his company had received 276,000 bookings for its newly launched Model 3 sedan by the end of Saturday, April 2, 2016.

The Model 3 is Tesla's most affordable electric vehicle yet and carries a price tag of $35,000 and the base variant of the new car can keep on running for 346 kilometers on a single charge of its battery pack.
The surge in pre-orders comes despite the fact that the Model 3 will only start reaching customer driveways in late 2017.
